Rising Sea Levels

How can we help the situation with the ice caps melting away like nobody's business?

Take a look at how we put ice cubes into a half full cup of water. The more we put, the higher the water rises to the top.

But we all know that there is no way to bring up the whole ice cap. Even so, it will still melt away and flow back into the seas, contributing back to the rising sea levels.

So what else is in the sea that takes up a similar or an even greater amount of water displacement?

The very thing that provided vast fortunes for sea port countries like Singapore, Britain, Netherlands, Finland, China, etc. etc.

Container Ships, Warships, Cruise Ships.

Is this a case of when human created explosives to do mining, other humans use it to kill people? In this case, it is: the richer countries build ships to generate trade for themselves, and will be rich enough to build dykes, then the poorer countries will disappear under water?

Back to my 1st paragraph. How can we help it?

World peace (applicable for the self-proclaimed police-of-the-world country) will be affected. (Rich) Economies will be greatly impacted. You and me will not be leading a lifestyle we have now because of the country's loss of income if ship numbers are being reduced. Freight charges will sky-rocket, adding to the cost of goods both at the manufacturing and final product delivery stages. And this extra costs will be paid by Y-O-U because do you think those manufacturing bigwigs will want their luxuries to be reduced? Salaries will either remain stagnant or drop a little only, but inflation will set in to wipe us out. Think about our medical cost...

i read your post twice and i'm not entirely sure whether you're being serious. if you really are, then i must say i find your displacement theory kinda cute, the implications of which are even cuter. just a point regarding your second paragraph. when ice cubes in a glass of water melt, the water level doesn't really change. of course it would be a different matter if it started raining ice cubes.

You have a point there. It sounds cogent but how credible is it?
